Deathpunk/hardcore band from Lauttasaari, Helsinki, Finland. Name Mononen was taken from a Funeral Home Mononen in Helsinki. Band was formed in a Tuska Metal Festival by a bunch of friends. First it supposed to be as a hobby and do just one gig at birthday party. Finnish hockey player, Toni Lydman, who played 12 seasons in NHL (4 in Calgary Flames, 5 in Buffalo Sabres and 3 in Anaheim Ducks) was the second guitarist in the band.
