AllMusic Review by Stacia Proefrock A retrospective of their three-year recording career, The Horrible Truth about Moped gathers material from Moped's scattered output. Containing eight previously unreleased songs, as well as compilation tracks, B-sides, and the contents of their EP, Naked Sharp & Plastic, the record is a chronologically arranged document of the Moped sound. The post-punk grinding and metal-tinged style of Moped is laid out on the table, featuring fine songs, like the jangly "Haven't Seen My Friends in So Long" and the sweet, pop-tinged "Making Enemies."
