Mort Goode, a New Jersey native and graduate of Syracuse U., began his career in the entertainment field by working in the publicity departments of Columbia Pictures and RKO Pictures. He collaborated with the late Jay Burton on several comedy pilots, and also wrote the liner notes to many albums. In 1976 he received a Grammy nomination for his work on The Complete Tommy Dorsey, Volume 1. He died June 10, 1997.
