Moshi Moshi was born as an electronic spark, thrown off from the superheated, analog gears of The Disco Biscuits. The mission of Moshi Moshi is to keep the spark alive, and to see it grow into a blinding arc of fire. Moshi Moshi is comprised of the n-dimensional physical incarnations of the drummer and keyboard player of The Disco Biscuits, Sam Altman and Aron Magner. In 2000, the duo coalesced around a live, proto-Moshi performance at the Knitting Factory in NYC, with Altman on a laptop and Magner on a scaled-down version of his live keyboard rig. Since that first show, both the sound and the instrumentation have grown in size and intensity. A live Moshi show is now a force to be reckoned with, as the samurai duo hurl shards of sharpened beats and ultra-low frequency attacks from behind the shimmering, metallic avatar of their gear.
