Band, DE
Musician of Rock
Founded in 1985 as Argus in Zwickau, Germany by Manfred Uhlig the band played firstly Blues and Rock before the sound changed to harder music. Now the musicians oriented on music like Judas Priest, Saxon, Iron Maiden and Metallica. The line-up of the band changed permanently, also some of the guys had to join the army. In 1987 singer Oliver Hippauf joined the band and music changed again to Thrash Metal and the idols now were Slayer, S.O.D., Kreator and Destruction. The first demo tape "No Back To Inferno" was recorded in 1987. With this the radio Metal charts in East Germany have been entered, but also some difficulties came up. That's why Argus was split up officially and a new band Moshquito with same members was found. Second demo tape was recorded in 1988. After the Berlin wall came down the third demo "Only Death Is For Nothing" was released and Moshquito could get a record deal. Anyhow record company "West Virginia Records" put them on ice and the band splitted up again. Six years later re-union and a few more CD's have been recorded ("Secrets" 1998, "Worlds End" 2001, "Enter New Spheres" 2004, "Behind The Mask" 2008). Final split in 2011 and a re-start with a new project named XIOM.
