Mr. Clean

Hip-Hop/Rap

If you where rapping in late 90’s you probably knew all the dudes in your local scene, before Facebook, before YouTube, even before you could hear Hip Hop on the radio Mr Clean’s established his underground moniker & is no stranger to some of the biggest names in the Sydney Hip Hop scene today. Patiently watching & living life. Sydney spitter, Husband & Father has just released his debut album “With a Vengeance” The aptly given title is a representation of his return to a scene that is changed in many ways where originality and underground is the under dog to the familiar format of what we hear on the home front today. The album consists of raw straight up bangers, sprinkled with mature & honest jewels. Holding a harsher approach to the mic a stern vibe is felt that projects passion & hunger with a dash of disappointment. Mr Clean possesses the kind of intensity and occasional recklessness that makes him more interesting than the bulk of locals circulating now, Clean maintains a wrecking ball mode with occasional twists into moments of psycodelic delirium, you could call it that ‘angry man rap’ with some funk on top He has guested on some releases, including Celsius’s 1st album, Chasm’s last album “This is how we never Die” alongside with Detroit native Phat Kat & also a track on Katalyst’s last album “Deep Impressions” which led him to perform at national tours and festivals such as Good Vibes & Days Like This. The track “Black Dragon” was hand picked for prime time play by Richard Kingsmill, Triple J’s head honcho. Without releasing an album, riding off his 1st video ‘Hard Yak” Clean was able to get the attention of local promoters for international supports acts for artists like Masta Ace, R.A. the Rugged Man & Celph Titled all which have been well received mustering more crowd reaction than the average undercard. Hard work & dedication (No Mayweather, More Manny), was needed to bring this project to light, with Producers on deck such as Colourd Noyz, Katalyst (Quakers), P-Money, Beat Butcha & Sandro (Ozi Battler) saying better late than never is a mediocre description of ones fruition even with being 3 years late the timing couldn’t be any better.
