Selection of compositions recorded at Blood 'n' Tongue between 1991-1992. Throughout the mid to late 80's, production tools and facilities kept up a gradual, but consistent climb towards improvement. More and better devices and tools were built into a reasonably versatile arsenal of noise makers. This all came crashing down in 1990 due to severe economic issues which necessitated the selling off of most of the valuable equipment which had been collected over the years. The lone exception to this was a Hi-Fi VHS deck which was used for stereo mastering. What was left was little more than an an old reel to reel tape deck, a broken SH-1 synth, a guitar and bass and a few other minor noise makers and FX. No multitrack recording equipment had survived. With little left to work with, but still a desire to create lingering, the challenge was set to put what little was available to good use. The best results of those efforts are collected here. Most of these tracks involved tape loops being used as backing while live instruments were played overtop. There was no overdubbing. All tracks were performed "live" in one take, recorded directly to VHS.
