Composed, performed and produced at Blood 'n' Tongue, Vancouver, January & February, 2006. I've never been to Hawaii, but I've seen it all my life, mostly on TV shows like Hawaii Five-O and old Elvis movies. I also heard its sounds come through strange, exotic looking records in my parent's collection. Sounds of surf and slide guitars, images of pretty girls in grass skirts, scenes of beaches, volcanoes and palm trees; these are the things that have created a mythical landscape in my mind somewhere just outside of reality. For me, it's a fantasy world as unattainable as Heaven itself. In that spirit, I present this collection of daydreams of that otherworldly place. Aloha!
