American blues singer, born 13 September 1931, died 9 October 1992 in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. Later known as Mr. G, he was among the first wave of New Orleans R&B acts to record. He appeared alongside Billy Eckstine (who gave him the "Mr. G" nickname) & Wynonie Harris.
