Jazz and Rock
Heavy instrumental progressive rock group from Kansas City that incorporates elements of funk, swing jazz, polka, Turkish progressive jazz, hipster, and country grooves. Mr. Marco's V7 was titled after Johnny Hamil's determination to put Marco Pascolini's name in the title of the band name and Marco's randomly looking at a hair tonic bottle's secret formula (V7). Every member of the band throughout it's 15-20 year history is a unique player on their instrument. The group started in the early '90s with its first show at Davey's Uptown Ramblers Club with the original lineup of Marco Pascolini, Johnny Hamil, Chris Fugitt, and Clarke Wyatt. In 1997, they released their first recordings, the split-single Sandoval / Mr. Marco's V7, recorded live at a miniature golf course. Their first full-length album "The Cowtown Ballroom Session" was released later that year and is currently sold out. Full-length albums "La Musica Surreale (From the Midwest)", "Spaceracer", and "Sparkin Your Mama" were released in 2002, 2007, and 2011 respectively. In 2012, they composed Man Of Action! II: Ashes Of Vengeance - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack for an animated short-film series produced by the film production company MK12.
