Berlin-based duo Mueran Humanos consists of Carmen Burguess (vocals, drum machines, synths) and Tomas Nochteff (vocals, bass, drum machines) who together make propulsive, unfurling Spanish language songs using experimental, punk and avant-garde methods. Having created Mueran Humanos in 2006, they embody the classic counterculture tradition of an "us against the world" couple driven to greatness through their love of each other and their passion for art, working on installations, video, collage, prints and music. Burguess and Nochteff share the vocal duties, all sung in their native Spanish, but with an emotiveness that transcends any language barriers, with the band's artwork made by Carmen carrying a voice just as distinct as their music, and the eerie, sometimes disturbing, imagery functioning as its perfect accompaniment. Stretching and perverting an instrument's presupposed purpose, the very basic line up of Mueran Humanos generates their very personal sound. After a couple of singles and gigs all over Europe and South America, they released their debut album in 2011, supported by an U.S. tour, through Old Europa Cafe (CD version, Italy) and Blind Prophet Records (vinyl version, New York USA), to critical acclaim world wide. Followed by some further singles; Culpable (Southern Records uk, 2012) or El Cìrculo (Vanity Case Uk, 2013), in 2015 the band signed to ATP Recordings, the label of the long running and revered Uk's All Tomorrow’s Parties festivals for the release of their second full length Miseress, in which Einstürzende Neubauten’s guitar player Jochen Albeit recorded guitars for.
