Muharram 1392

Band,
Jazz

Muharram 1392 is not a real band name. Muharram 1392 is the Islamic date that corresponds to February 1972. It refers to a one time concert held by Hartmut Geerken, Hubertus Von Puttkamer, Michael Ranta, Omar El Hakim, and Salah Ragab in Heliopolis, Cairo, Egypt on the 17th of February 1972. This was a one off meeting and the group name Muharram 1392 was only applied after this music was retrieved from the archives of Hartmut Geerken and published on vinyl 40 years later.
