Muireadach

*2005
Composer of Rock

A METAL BAND FROM PARAGUAY Muireadach was born in December 2005. Encouraged by the style and trends of baroque and classical composers such as Bach, Beethoven and Mozart, and by awsome bands as Iron Maiden, Yngwie J. M. and Helloween, during 2006, Muireadach’s members dedicated lots of time and effort to write their music, saving live presentations for a close future. The result of this intensively creative period were twelve finished songs (and some more they’re still working on), and four of them are part of their first discographic material “Omnine Secundo”, released on December 21th of 2007. Their inspiration comes from experiences, dreams, life lessons, or simply from their imagination, from the fantasy enclosed in tales about battles, braves and their glorious deeds. The “Muireadach Ones” recorded their demo material at home. Their Debut was the same night of “Omnine Secundo” demo’s launching, as a support-band for HANGAR’s Show during the Conviction Tour (of “The reasson of your conviction” material). Muireadach shared stage with most of the greatest metal bands of Paraguay, and with international artists such as Hangar (Brazil), Twilight (Argentina), Almah (Brazil), Sepultura (Brazil), Chaos Sinopsis (Brazil), Epica (Netherlands), Tim Ripper Owens (USA), Timo Tolkki (Finland), Marcelo Moreira (Brazil) y Gus Monsanto (Brazil). THE NAME The male name Muireadach seems to derive from “murchadh” or the Celtic-Goidelic word for sea warrior. Murchadh is the name that celts gave to the scandinavians or vikings who arrived to Scotland around the beginning of the 9thC, for coastal pirate raids at first, but it wasn’t long after those attacks that parts of Scotland became part of Norway. Large numbers of Norse settled and intermarried with Gaels. In these societies those who had Norse ancestry might have been known as murchadh, and the term is believed as one of the four posible origins of the surname Murdoch. The modern gaelic form “Muireadach” means “sea man”, or “sea lord”, although some authorities prefer the interpretation ”lord and master” METAL DESDE PARAGUAY Muireadach nació en Diciembre de 2005. The reasson of your conviction”).
