ITA: Il nostro interesse per le antiche tradizioni ci ha portati a visitare antichi luoghi di culto situati in tutto il Nord Italia, soprattutto nelle regioni del Piemonte, Lombardia e Valle D’Aosta. Le stesse montagne, gli stessi sassi e gli stessi boschi che hanno vissuto il lento scorrere della storia ed ancora conservano la memoria di tempi remoti. Boschi pregni di sacralità, Nemeton, e luoghi che ospitano costruzioni megalitiche come i Cromlech, sono stati per noi la fonte di ispirazione per realizzare “O”. Nel totale rispetto della Natura e dello spirito di questi luoghi, abbiamo raccolto materiale ed effettuato riprese e registrazioni ambientali, per poter trasmettere, anche se in maniera minore, la stessa energia e solennità che si prova sostando e visitando quei posti ancestrali. Legni, sassi ed altri materiali raccolti nei nostri viaggi diventano così parte degli strumenti utilizzati per creare la nostra musica ed “O” è il risultato finale di questa ricerca che si pone come obbiettivo la valorizzazione di questi luoghi antichi che corrono il rischio di essere dimenticati e distrutti, oltre che un tentativo di sensibilizzazione nei confronti della Natura di cui la razza umana è figlia. L’uomo, infinitamente piccolo in confronto alla Natura, diventa infinitamente grande quando si ricorda di esserne parte e grazie all’ausilio della Musica, da sempre uno dei mezzi di comunicazione universali dell’umanità, speriamo di cuore di potervi trasmettere le stesse emozioni che abbiamo provato passeggiando in quei boschi ricchi di vita, da cui il mondo moderno ha preso le distanze da tanto, troppo tempo. Il cerchio simboleggia il ciclo naturale di ogni vita, mantenendo al centro la consapevolezza che ogni cosa ha un'origine comune e il suo continuo deriva anche dal nostro rapporto con essa. ENG: Our interest for ancient traditions led us to visit ancient cult places around the north of Italy, mostly in Piemonte, Lombardia and Valle D’Aosta. The same mountains, the same stones and the same woods that lived through the slow course of history and still are preserving memories of remote times. Forests full of sacredness, Nemeton, and places hosting megalithic structures such as Cromlechs, were the primary source of inspiration for "O". In total respect of Nature and of these places' spirit we collected material, took field records and footages, for being able to transmit, even if in a less manner, the same energy and solemnity that you feel when you visit and stand in those ancestral locations. Small branches, rocks and other materials picked up during our journeys became part of the instruments played to create our music, and "O" is the final result of this research that pose itself the purpose of letting the value of these ancient places be known, since there's a risk to let them be forgotten and destroyed. It is also an attempt to sensitise about Nature of which human race is a child of. The man, infinitely small compared to Nature, becomes infinitely great when he remembers of being a part of it, and with the music that is and was since always an universal language for the human being, we hope from our hearts to send you the same emotions that we felt while walking in those forests filled with life, from which the modern world took distances for too long.The circle symbolizes the natural cycle of life, keeping at the center the awareness that everything has a common origin and its proceeding descends also from our correlation with it.
