Musician of Country and World

Muryel “Zeke” Campbell is a guitar player from Dallas, Texas. During the mid 1930's Campbel became a member of the Light Crust Doughboys and appeard in such films with the Doughboys as "Oh Susannah" and "The Big Show". Campbell helped move the Doughboys to an era of hot string instrumentals and highly jazz flavored sound. By 1937, Campbell was using an electric guitar on the Doughboy’s Vocalion recordings.
