The Mushroom Tabernacle Choir is the engineering staff and musician friends of the Village Recorder in Westwood, CA. "Help Put The 'X' Back In Xmas" a 7" EP was their one and only recording made for Christmas 1971. This recording was made as a novelty item and given out as a Christmas gift. It was sold briefly by a staff member but once the original pressing of 300 records was gone that was the end of the project.
