Single NO 1995 on WEA label
Rock and Pop (Ballad)
"Music Channel is a collaboration between NRK Petre/Norwegian Broadcasting Cooperation, Rikskonsertene/Nor Concerts and Norad, with support from the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs" "The song "Mantra for Peace" is part of the Music Channel project, which unites Israeli, Palestinian and Norwegian musicians in one group. The secret "Oslo Channel" that laid the foundations of the peace process between Palestinians and Israelis, sparked the idea of establishing a musical collaboration between the same three nationalities that were involved in the political negociations. Eight musicians assembled in Bykle, Norway, together with project leader and producer Sigbjørn Nedland and a team from the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation, to create, perform and record music based on the varied musical and cultural backgrounds of the participating musicians. The full results of this historical collaboration will be released on the upcoming Music Channel album"
