Band, *2004
Rock
Formed in the beginning of 2006, Mute Socialite was an instrumental experimental rock band that interlaced free jazz , post rock, no wave, and punk, harmonic interplay with controlled dissonance and painted with a broad stroke of polyrhythmic improvisation. They released one record, which showcased their percolating frenetic energy. A single followed in 2009, breaking up later that autumn. Since then, Ava later formed Unnatural Ways, Shayna joined Xiu Xiu (both relocating to New York), Liz Allbee moved to Berlin, and Moe! created Surplus 1980.
