Mysterious Art was founded 1988. The first single release in 1989 via CBS Dance Pool became #1 in the german sales charts for 9 weeks. It was the second most sucessful single in 1989 for the German market and sold more than 400000 copies. Stephanie Matias formerly Stephanie Trautmann left the band early. The second single entered Top Ten at #9 and stayed in the German sales charts for 3 weeks. The band performed live as a support act for Madonna's "Blonde Ambition Tour." DJ and producer Mike Staab had big hits with Magic Affair and Time To Time. He died on the 11th of May 2009 from a heart attack. Michael Krautter lives in Canada as a producer for music and film. Tillmann Uhrmacher is a well known german DJ (radio and club) and released and remixed a bunch of records. He died in June 2011. Nicole Kolb formerly Nicole Boeúf sings in a band named Midnight Project. In 1994 producer Mike Staab released several records under the name M.A. / Magic Affair. He was the only formerly member of Mysterious Art. Magic Affair became a big success in Europe and abroad.
