Nancy Rumbel is an American multi-instrumentalist and composer. She mainly performs on oboe, English Horn and double ocarina.
Rumbel was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. She attended Northwestern University and then joined The Paul Winter Consort and recorded and performed with them for eight years. In 1984 she moved to Seattle where a chance meeting with Eric Tingstad lead to a Grammy Award winning collaboration that has lasted more than 25 years.
