The four works on this recording were first issued on compact disc in 1987 by Conifer Records of England. In 1988, that recording, Conifer CDCF 147, was nominated by Ovation magazine for the Mumm Champagne Recording of the Year Award in the orchestral category. All works, published by Vienna Masterworks (BMI), were recorded in the presence of the composers. Included with VMM disc, an 8 page booklet with notes, artist bios, photos, and credits.
