The Nasty Dog 7# is the sole release on the Reedsville Label (owned by Willie Clarke & Johnny Pearsall) Clarence Reid "borrowed" the Mighty Dog Catchers and rechristened them the Nasty Dog Catchers. Clarence "Bear Rug" Reid vocals / backing band led by Vernon "Piggy Tee" Teague sax / Reed "Manson" Roberts bass / King Edwards organ / Charlie "Chan" Smith guitar / Clifford "Screaming Jay" Hawkins drums & the mysterious Ambristo on tenor sax. Recorded in Miami Florida. In 1971, Clarence Reid would create the alter-ego Blowfly, who performed and recorded some proto-rap albums on his very own Weird World label.
