Natty Fred é um dread maningue nice que cozinha bué de bem. Gosta da natureza e das coisas boas que a vida traz. No percurso musical viajou do punk dos Controversos à eletrónica de Manuzze, experimentando aqui as suas próprias produções com o irmão Dj Dodge. Destacando-se sempre um fundo enigmático que o levou ao reggae dub e à formação dos Dread Natta, onde é produtor e instrumentista. Acompanhou Riddim Culture, remisturou para Kumpania Algazarra, fundou em 2010 o colectivo Dub Poets, agora Satta Dub, com Ismael Roots, gravou com The Grasspoppers, co-fundou, em 2012, YAGUM Project e faz ainda uns trabalhinhos por fora. Hoje, Natty Fred pode ser ouvido no outro lado do mundo ou mesmo aqui ao lado com Dread Natta, Dub Poets, a solo ou com convidados, ou ainda a decorar paisagens sonoras de inspiração neo-xamânica com YAGUM Project. É também convidado frequente na melódica de Jah Rockers Soundsystem. A suas produções rotulam-se com DUB, todavia a viagem a que transportam pode passar por diferentes paragens. Entre temas de inspirada meditação e outros de fazer estalar os dentes encontra-se sempre um baixo sério e gordo e uns finos cristalinos de fazer levantar a bochecha. Muitos efeitos, muito boa vibração e um grande sorriso no rosto! Natty Fred is a real nice guy who cooks very well. He likes nature and all good things that life can bring. In music, he has travelled from Controversos punk to Manuzze's electronic music, experiencing here his own musical productions with his brother, Dj Dodge. Always with an enigmatic found, it tooked him to reggae dub and the foundation of Dread Natta, where he's the producer and instrument player. He joined Riddim Culture, remixed to Kumpania Algazarra, founded, in 2010 the colective Dub Poets with Ismael Roots, recorded amoung The Grasspoppers, co-founded, in 2012, YAGUM Project and keeps working where he still can. Today, Natty Fred can be heard on the other side of the world or right next to us with Dread Natta, Dub Poets, solo or with guests, or even decorating neo-xamanic inspired soundscapes with YAGUM Project. He's also a frequent guest at Jah Rockers Soundsystem melodica. His musical productions are described has DUB, however the journeys flows us through many soundscapes. Between themes of deep meditation and others making our teeth crack, there's always a serious fat bassline and cristal clear tops that keeps us high. A lot of effects, a lot of good vibrations and a huge smile on his face!
