A.k.a. Nazario Luque Vera

Nazario is signing Nazario Luque Vera (Castilleja del Campo (Sevilla), January 3, 1944. Cartoonist and then Spanish painter, considered the father of underground comics of his country and one of the highlights of gay comic alongside Tom of Finland and Ralf König. Countercultural artist par excellence and a key part of the Barcelona moved from the seventies and eighties, portrays an underworld villain in Anarcoma Barcelona, its most popular series. It has also been highlighted by "renewing the most topical forms of Andalusian culture". Illustrations of Lou Reed Live - Take No Prisoners were officially credited to Brent Bailer but Spanish illustrator Nazario won in 2000 a legal battle after which it was determined that the original drawing had been done by him for a cover of a magazine in the seventies. Nazarios transsexual cartoon hero Anarcoma draw an inspiration for Marc Almond song with the same title.
