Dutch radio orchestra founded in 1985 after a merger of the Promenade Orchestra and the Radio Orchestra (Omroeporkest). After its disbanding in 2005, its functions were absorbed into the Radio Filharmonisch Orkest and the Radio Kamerorkest. Chief conductors: 1985 - 1989: Kenneth Montgomery (from 1975 chief conductor of the Omroeporkest) 1989 - 1991: Henry Lewis 1991 - 1996: Kees Bakels 1996 - 2003: Eri Klas 2003 - 2004: Hans Vonk
