Scottish tenor, born in 1946. Neil Mackie was born in Aberdeen and studied at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and the Royal College of Music. He has earned an international reputation in repertoire as diverse as the Bach Passions, Kurt Weill, the operas of Peter Maxwell Davies and many other important contemporary works. He has appeared at the Aldeburgh and Edinburgh Festivals, and at the London Proms.
