Composer / Conductor
Nello Melotti (1927, Trieste - 2011, Pula, Croatia) is a legend under Istrian (Istra, Croatia) music composers. Also a conductor and music-pedagog he graduated from the Ljubljana Music Academy in the class of prof. Blaž Arnič. He was the principal of the Pula Music School "Ivan Matetić Ronjgov" for many years. Since 1977 till retirement he worked as a professor at the Pula Pedagogy Academy. He spend more than 50 years of his career in leading amateur choirs in Pula and Pazin. He was also a renomated author at and for the famous Yugoslav MIK (Istra and Kvarner Music Festival). He was best known for his II World War Partisan songs.
