A.k.a. Manuel Vargas
Panamanian musician, singer, songwriter and studio technician, born in a town called La Miel, located in Las Tablas, Los Santos Province. He comes from a family of musicians and artists specialized in Panamanian traditional music. He started as guitarist in folkloric events ("cantaderas") when he was 17. He joined Victorio Vergara's musical group Los Plumas Negras when vocalist/guitarist Lucho De Sedas left in 1979. Together, they recorded and released successful albums, well received by the Panamanian public. After Vergara's death in July 21st, 1998, he switched to accordion and became the main frontman. He has continued to write more hit songs, receiving heavy radio play.
