Single JP 1984 on Factory label
Electronic and Pop (Electro, Synth-pop)
Withdrawn promotional single intended to promote the Japanese 12" releases of "Blue Monday" and "Confusion". Half of the copies were issued in green ripple striped sleeve with die-cut hole on one side. The other half had a generic white (inner) sleeve (some with a label sticker, some not). All were accompanied by double-sided insert with Factory silhouette logo on front and release details on back. Insert artwork adapted from Factory's 1983 Christmas card and poster, but no artwork or design credits are listed on release. Reported on various discographies as being limited to 25 copies. Almost all of them have WOC (penned by the label people) in Japanese because they were directed to key Djs and music journalists in Japan. Side One/Side A - From 30cm 45rpm single "Blue Mondy" [sic] YW-7418. Published by Be Music. Side Two/Side B - From 30cm 45rpm single "Confusion" YW-7419. Produced for FCL and ABI. Published by Shakin' Baker Music and Be Music. ℗ '84 • 1 Made in Japan ニュー・オーダー (New Order) appears in Katakana on the cover/insert only while the labels read New Order.
