Band,
The New Red Onion Jazz Babies is a Kansas City group dedicated to the preservation of traditional jazz, the way the "Red Onion Jazz Babies" played it in the 1920s. They officially came into existence in June of 1981 when they began working at the nationally famous Bristol Bar & Grill in Kansas City. The nucleus of the band stretches back to trombonist Marvin Hart's own "Dixie Six", which performed in and around Kansas City in 1979 and 1980.
