Three pieces for nylon strings, recorded in wood smoke. 1.Young Hussar - An original composition based loosely on a tune from Zoltán Kodály's 'Folk Music of Hungary' (tune 95). The version Kodály cites was taken down from a 19 year old Hussar in Nyírvaja, Szabolcs in 1916 with the words: 'Oh may God damn the man who did this! But even more the man who planned it! They're taking away, they're taking away my darling from me, To eat the unsalted bread of Franz Josef.' 2. A juhásznak jól megy dolga - A Hungarian children's song extolling the virtues of being a shepherd. The words reduce the shepherd's life to putting sheep to pasture and playing the hosszú furulya (long shepherd's pipe). 3. Nicodidymus - An original composition in G minor. released 15 February 2012 SOYLIBRE09
