nicolás chientaroli was born in buenos aires in 1982. he has recorded three albums with his trío – la música está prohibida (blueart records – 2008, with carlos álvarez on bass y hernán rodríguez on drums); la casa caliente (sofa records – 2011, with the same lineup; and ViajeraMente (pan y rosas discos – 2013 with carlos álvarez on bass and sebastián groshaus on drums). the second album was premiered at the festival internacional de jazz de buenos aires 2011. as composer/pianist he has led the group, la gran cena; co-led the groups los improvisadores gráficos and las formas avanzan. he has also performed with the groups andrés elstein trío, caravana colemanica, proyecto orgánico rave, trío dumpty, francisco salgado cuarteto, la hormiga. he frequently performs at the various clubs of the buenos aires jazz scene: thelonious club, virasoro bar, notorious, café vinilo, banfield teatro ensamble, club cultural matienzo, un lugar en ortúzar, etc.
