Nicolas « Nico » Michel (born 27 November, 1979), is a Belgian composer based in Brussels, Belgium. He developed an interest in music when he was a teenager and started to compose at the age of 16. His professional career began in 2004 when, with his friend and former production partner Muji, he produced a few songs on LEKI’s debut album « Breakin’out » . The singles « Breakin’out » and « Crazy » attained international chart success, reaching the top 50 in numerous countries. Afterward he continued to collaborate as a composer on Belgian artists albums. In 2008, Michel co-composed and co-produced LEKi’s third album « Multiplicity » including the singles « Baby » featuring Nile Rodgers (Chic) and« Over the rainbow » used in Belgium as title song for the American series Prison Break season 3 and season 4. « Over the rainbow » reached the Belgian single Top 10 and remained in the Top 50 for 15 weeks. In 2013 he launched his own label Enikao Music and focused on Belgian artist Little Collin releasing his EP « When the heart meets the soul ». In 2015, Michel collaborated on Belgian rapper AKRO’s 4th album « Quadrifolies » as co-composer of the first single « Les femmes sont là » and he also composed « Pas si parfait ». This year he has also composed the song « Harmony of the heart » for Murayama Tomomi’s book あなたの声と音がすべてを浄化する and the opening song of the newscast « Les Niouzz » for Belgian national television.
