Nigel Bruce (born February 14, 1895, Ensanada, Baja California, Mexico - died October 8, 1953, Santa Monica, California, USA) was a British actor, best known for his portrayal of "Doctor Watson" in a series of films and in the radio series "The New Adventures of Sherlock Holmes" (starring Basil Rathbone as Sherlock Holmes). Bruce was born in Mexico while his parents were on holiday there.
