This project exists since 1999 and used to be a 3 persons band (Andrey Kiritchenko, Oleg Kovalchuk, Edward Shwets) nowadays only Andrey Kiritchenko stays at work, however others sometimes are involved in live performances. Oleg Kovalchuk gave the name to this project. NEX investigates the ideas of John Cage (ie 4'33" ), but this does not mean it plays with the everyday sounds that usually the listener tends to block out or ignore. NEX processes and plays with environmental sounds revealing the music that these sounds hide within themselves.
