In the mid 90's, during his teenage years, Niko Mayer began his musical career. His House sets were quickly listened in several spots of the Argentinean Coast. For a long period of time, he was in charge of the Deep Blue Buenos Aires booth and was resident on the multiple Mechanical Fests. Among other electronic parties, we heard Niko and his unmistakable style at Far Far Away, Spring Night, Perfect Exceeder and Summer Sessions. Since 2006, we can listen to his sets in KSK radio, in Nicholas Van Orton’s space. Also in shows such as Balkanians at Proton Radio. On FTV Channel we can also hear Niko’s own tracks and sets. He has recently played at Pacha in “BsAs Electronica”. Niko Mayer has been for some time now a popular name in the Argentinean progressive house scene, he marked his stamp in several electronic parties and shared the booth with both local and international reknown artists. Nowadays he works in production with the Balkan Connection South America label. Some of his tracks such as See Inside & Smerillo, was selected in his set by Hernan Cattaneo at Creamfield 2009 Buenos Aires and Peru. DJ Paul included his Niko’s tracks on his show “selections” at Metro Radio. Niko states his referents were always, within Progressive: Underworld, Hernan Cattaneo, Sasha, Digweed, and within House artists such as Franky Knucles, Danny Tenaglia and Lee Burridge.
