"As on release" suggests that Nina Simone is featured on the first two tracks of Side A with The Village Allstars. The remaining track are only the Village Allstars. A lawsuit was brought against Buckingham Records alleging that "the firm released an album on the Palace label whose jacket gave the impression that Nina Simone is accompanied on the album by the Village Allstars when the album contains only two songs, out of a total of 10, by Miss Simone".
