Quiver 1 is a conceptual composition for solo voice transecting original vibrations over present, past, and future notions of transmission. The text-based score draws imaginary and concrete references, to be interpreted by means of the performers’ premeditated imagination, immediate intuition, and underlining knowledge; and be used as receptacles for autonomous, formulaic, oracular, and/or abstract prompts for vocal explorations. Composed for and executed by vocalist Kristin Hayter. The program will be prologued by the graphic score Harrow/Dormant (2010) performed by Jeff Gburek (guitar & electronics), and epilogued by Karolina Ossowska (violin), sound artists and musicians currently based in Poznań, Poland.
