Noëlle Reymond is a Swiss double bassist and music educator. After studying with Francis Marcellin at her hometown's Lausanne Conservatory, Noelle continued the education under the guidance of Franco Petracchi in Geneva, Joel Quarrington in Toronto, and Yoan Goilav back in Lausanne. An exceptionally versatile performer, Reymond has been playing in a wide variety of genres: orchestral and chamber works, duets for contrabass and cello, baroque music on period instruments, folk (with Tamatakia), free improv, Piazzolla tangos. In collaboration with Babel Ensemble, Nouvel Ensemble Contemporain, and Ensemble Contrechamps (since 2003), Noëlle championed a broad repertoire of contemporary compositions. She teaches double bass at Ecole Sociale de Musique de Lausanne and a few other schools.
