Nomadz

1965-1969 US, Youngstown, Ohio
Rock

Youngstown, Ohio 1965-9 This combo was started by ninth graders at Cheney High School. Taking a cue from Dion's "Wanderer" they became the Nomadz. The group played summer dates at Mill Creek Park's Pioneer Pavilion and many private parties, banquets, etc. In 1967 they recorded their lone 45 at Wam, covering "Midnight Hour" and the Distant Cousins "She Ain't Loving You", a song that was a huge local hit. Keyboard (Farfisa) player John Mikovich's father laid out the $500 for the session and 500 45s. The group continued until 1969 when high school graduation forced the band's demise.
