Band,
Jazz and Rock
Not a real band at first, 'North & South' was the name Hugh Hopper gave to a 1984 demo of two of his songs ("Iron Lady" and "Dr.Dance") which he recorded with Mike Travis and Rick Biddulph, with backing vocals on "Dr.Dance" by Amanda Parsons. "Iron Lady" later appeared on the CD Hugh Hopper And Odd Friends (1993) and Parabolic Versions (2000). In August 1995, North & South was revived for two gigs in Aberdeen and Edinburgh, with a line-up that again included Hugh Hopper and Mike Travis, with newcomers P.Flush and S.Kettley.
