Northern Beaches was an experimental indie rock band from Youngstown, Ohio known for mixing its members' punk roots with dub, prog, jazz, and avant-garde influences. After vocalist Karl Steffey died in 2011, the band continued as a three-piece, but they continued to identify him as a member and left an unmanned microphone stand at the front of the stage at their shows.
