After nine years, she released a new solo album - this time with French chansons, with whom she was acclaimed by Edith Piaf and with whom Nuška has been impressing for years on concert stages. The desire for a CD with such a theme was increasing with each concert, as the audience's responses were truly inspiring. On the CD you can listen to Nuska's selection of chansons, which connect in the translated Slovenian poem Jacques Prevert in the interpretation of Boris Cavazze. The title "Re-Belle" has a dual meaning: on the one hand, it describes Edith Piaf, a "woman", a freelance woman, La Piaf, who lived according to her rules and the force of "finality"; the red thread of her art is love, which is also "l'oiseau rebelle, que nul ne peut t'apprivoiser" ("rebel bird that nobody can domesticize" - taken from Habanera, the most famous aria from the opera Carmen G. Bizet , which is also one of the favorite operas by Nuška Drašček and whose story describes the last song on the CD). On the other hand, the title "Re-Belle" means "again beautiful", which suggests re-trained and minimalist arrangements of her compositions.
