Nuccio D'Angelo (b. 1955) is an Italian guitarist, composer, and music educator. He had been studying composition with Gaetano Giani Luporini and guitar with Alvaro Company at the Luigi Cherubini Conservatory in Florence, graduating magna cum laude in 1984. The same year, D'Angelo wrote one of his essential works, Due canzoni lidie. He won the first prize for it at the Onyukai Association's Festival of Contemporary Music (Tokyo, 1984), as well as for Magie at Andrés Segovia International Competition (1991) in Spain. Throughout his career, Nuccio D'Angelo participated in numerous Italian festivals and performed both solo and with various chamber ensembles in Canada, France, Germany, Greece, Portugal, Switzerland, and the United States. Nuccio often interprets his compositions and rewrites old pieces in different genres (pop, jazz), sometimes alternating them with Spanish and South American elements during a concert.
