Utrecht, the Netherlands based thrashers Nuestros Derechos (meaning "Our Rights" in Spanish) were firmly rooted with one foot in a tradition of (thrash) metal and the other in the hardcore/punk scene. Nuestros Derechos was formed in 2000 by Jeroen "Jerrie Herrie" van Donserlaar (guitar, vocals), Jan Willem Smit (bass, vocals) and Johnny Derechos (drums, vocals). In 2006 Jan Willem Smit was replaced by "Jedi" Jet de Jonge on bass and vocals. In a basic rock 'n roll lineup of guitar, drums and bass these two guys and grrrl delivered engaged and very energetic thrash with some hardcore pun ethics. Fast 'n furious for over a decade, but officially inactive since 2014.
