Formed as a hip hop duo in Houston, Texas by the cousins Eric Original E Woods and DJ Big Boss (2) during the mid-to-late 1980s. Shortly after the release of their first album, the partnership dissolved when DJ Big Boss (2) joined the group 4 Deep. Nonetheless, Woods assumed the "O.G. Style" name and began to record as a solo artist until shortly before his death in 2008.
