Oba Frank Lords

perc, *1964 CU
Musician of Dance and Electronic
A.k.a. Francisco Martin

Frank Lords - Born Francisco Martin on May 24, 1964 in Havana, Cuba. He immigrated to the United States via Miami, Florida with his parents at age 5. His first dash with fame was playing percussion on a T.K. Records production by Seventh Avenue titled "Miami Heat Wave". The single went to number one instantly with the infectious percussion groove. Later Frank Lords along with high school friend Rudy Gil formed the Mega Talented and Successful Freestyle Group - Secret Society (4). The mid eighties and early nineties truly belonged to Secret Society (4) in the Freestyle Arena; with a multitude of hits including "Da Boyz With Da Nu Look", "Find Yourself", "You Said You Loved Me...", "Love Is Not Forever" and their biggest chart topper "We Belong Together". In 1996 after Secret Society (4) disbanded, Frank Lords was by now better known as Oba Frank Lords. His Afro-Cuban alter ego; he was now part of the group Dogma (5) Featuring The Afro Cuban Rhythms spanning the Billboard Dance Hits "Mas Suave" and "Ritmo Cubano, Sabor Africano" and then formed Latin Xpress. After his career took a hiatus for several years; a rebirth took place in early 2002 when Oba Frank Lords along with partners Saul Alvarez, Oscar D. Arias, and Carlos Torre have formed a Record Label/Production Studio called 4 Tune Entertainment.
