Offscreen (1997-1999) After the expiration of Phylice Ghetta (1992) and Few More Licks (1996) the logical next step for Pim and Hans Thiemens was to skip the drumcomputer and to form a new (super)band, again with Henk Spies soprano and two new extraordinay musicians: Ad Menke on drums and Françoise Vaal leadvocals and lyrics. It resulted in de demo-cd Brandnew. But after fifteen months of rehearsing it all stopped because of the illness of Ad. The band waited for almost a year, but Ad couldn't play again. So the band tried a new drummer, Baukje Westerlaken, but the vibes between Baukje and Hans were no good, so the band stopped without a performance at the and of 1999. What a waste of talent and possibilities...! After that Pim split his musical career: He went on as a live-performer with the music of his early roots Robin Trower and Jimi Hendrix with conventional rock-coverbands (Three Of A Kind, Colourize, Robin and the Badmen) and went on with Hans as a studioband (W2Warthog) to record old Phylice Ghetta and Offscreen material in addition with new pieces in their typical style of irregular time signature.
