Cheong Dahl is a Jamaican music selector who specializes in from ska classic in the early 60s to Rock Steady, Reggae and Caribbean music, who is also a trumpeter of Korea's renowned ska band Kingston Rudieska, formed in 2004. Starting with the world-wide release of Ska N' Seoul, the collaborative album with German ska virtuoso Dr. Ring Ding in 2013, Kingston Rudieska have come into the spotlight in the international ska music market. They have released a split album, Far East Asia, in Japan which topped 4 sections of the sales chart on reggaerecords.com, and thanks to that, they were invited to Tokyo Little Journey and Sunset Live in Fukuoka. They also released ten-year anniversary album, Everyday People, in collaboration with American Jamaican music producer Brian Dixon, and it was praised for connecting Korean ska to the world. Cheong dalh is also a member of the reggae band, NST & The Soul Sauce who were recently invited to Fuji Rock 2016 and another Seoul based reggae band, Seoul Riddim Superclub. And on top of his bands, he is a founder/owner of the Jamaican music label and vinyl store Eastern Standard Sounds and introduces new trends of Jamaican music and modern musicians. Working as a organizer for the biggest reggae festival in Korea, Rise Again, and throwing various reggae parties, his name is easily found at all the reggae events in Korea. As a vintage Jamaican music lover, Cheongdahl insists on spinning vinyl records and revives the Jamaican mood filled with Caribbean atmosphere in the 50s and 60s
