Australian Ensemble. OHM is an ensemble of five composers and performers dedicated to the development of electronic music as a genre for live, human performance, as an alternative to conceptions in which the end product is a recorded document. In performance, OHM makes extensive use of MIDI and other technology and software, both commercial and custom-designed. Founded in 1989 with support from the Australia Council, the ensemble performs regularly in Sydney (its home town), and has toured to Melbourne and Canberra. OHM's members are Fiona Allan (WX7 wind controller), Jim Franklin (3) (keyboard, WX7), Anthony Hood (keyboard), Julian Knowles (Octapad percussion controller, keyboard), and Caroline Szeto (keyboard).
